Crinan is a bloomin' wonderful destination

At this time of the year Crinan has to be an unmissable destination for anyone interested in flowers and gardens. There is a host of wonderful gardens to be found in this part of Argyll - many of them less than 30-40 minutes drive from crinan Hotel. With Spring now well established, the riot of colour from the azaleas, rhododendrons, prunus, primulas and bluebells. Consider enjoying a couple of days at Crinan and the opportunity to experience some of Argyll's gardens in full bloom including Arduaine Garden, Crarae Garden, Inverary Castle Garden and Ardkinglas Woodland Garden.

At Crinan we have our own 'secret garden'. Open the gate just outside the Hotel Bar and climb the stone staircase that leads to the garden entrance. A small bench at the top is a welcome site for the less energetic amongst us! Then, entering the garden through the small top gate, enjoy a leisurely walk down through the plants and trees carefully tended by the owner, Frances MacDonald
