Celebrate the New Year with Crinan's Hogmanay Package
Hogmanay is the Scots word for the last day of the year and is synonymous with the celebration of the New Year (Gregorian calendar) in the Scottish manner. It is, however, normally only the start of a celebration which lasts through the night until the morning of New Year's Day (1 January) or, in some cases, 2 January which is a Scottish Bank Holiday.
At Crinan Hotel Hogmanay is a three day house party:
Friday, 30 December 2011
This will be a relaxed affair spending the evening unwinding and
meeting fellow house guests in cocktails and canapés party.
Saturday, 31 December 2011 – Hogmanay
12 noon there will be a private view of “small paintings” by Scottish artists
this evening feast and dance the night away to the traditional ceilidh band, Èirich.
See in the New year with the sounds of bagpipes.
Sunday, 1 January 2012
This morning our Champagne breakfast will be served slightly later
then in the evening there is more feasting and dancing to
the well known fiddler, Archie McAllister.
The days will be reserved for relaxing and recuperating
as well as activities such as boat trips.
